Well, here are parts of her in progress. Purchased on ebay for mere $300 bucks. The interior is stripped out to receive rx-7 buckets in front. New carpeting coming(black) rear seat to be re upholstered to match front buckets, black leather with checkerboard cloth center, new black door panels. The engine is stock except for K&N filters and crane pointless ignition. The manifold was switched from single to dual head pipe model . New brakes, exhaust system, tie rods,ends, new upper and lower ball joints all new clutch, seals and rubber. Halo front lights, Grant steering wheel, new shocks, limiting straps, original fender mount mirrors, All new weather stripping throughout, cragar spoke rims, re-polished (soon) She is a work in progress but we're firing her up next Friday to go to the upholsterer. The paint will come last. My thought at this point is the old Aston Martin polyurethane silver.. The audio system will consisit of the original am radio with a hidden mp-3 dock and equalizer/booster with 6 speaker 400 watt pioneers. I am still missing some exterior chrome such as front over-rider bar and rear bumperrettes. So if anyone has some in decent shape to spare let me know. Will update as the process continues..
WELL HERE WE ARE IN JULY AND ON THE FINAL TEST DRIVE THE ENGINE STARTS A KNOCKING. TURNS OUT THE CAM AND MAIN BEARINGS ARE DOWN TO COPPER, CAM IS SHOT. SO STRIP HER DOWN AGAIN AND TOW IT TO THE UPHOLSTERER. REBUILD THE ENTIRE MOTOR NOW-DAMN SHOULD HAVE DONE IT BEFORE, BUT IF IT AIN'T BROKE WAIT UNTIL IT IS I GUESS. IPD IS LOVING ME, WHEN WILL THE HEMOHRAGE END LOL
