This car had an interesting story, the owners dad bought it in 1946 and used it to haul the kids around. On several occasions the son remembered taking the trip from Norfolk VA to Daytona Beach FL in the Essex in the late 40's. Sometime around the early 1950's he helped his dad roll the old Essex into the barn. Years go by and the old girl got burried under antiques and treasures collected by his dad until he passed away and there she sat. Recently his aunt bought the property and decides to build a house on the lot, unfortunately the lots too small and the barn is scheduled to be demolished and there I come in with $1800 and a trailer.
The sun shines on the 29 for the first time in almost 60 years!

Sitting in the yard the next day

My neghbor was kind enough to let us store the 29 until move in 2 months to SC

Plans for the future, currently collecting parts to build a rat rod and maybe later build her into a nice traditional 50's hot rod. I already have a 1955 Olds Rocket, Terraplane rear axle and 36 Plymouth front axle waiting to go on!
