This is my 1978 Solar Gold Trans Am. I bought it July 2007 with 51,000 Original Miles. It was garage stored though all the winters since it was borne. It hasn't seen a snowflake and it has the original paint. The body parts appear to be original and NO rust. I found the original build sheet behind the back seat. I ordered all the information available from PHS including a window sticker. It appears to be a numbers matching car, and it drives and performs very well. I got caught in a rain storm on the way to my first car show. I exited the Trans Am high and dry. The car's T-Tops were dry as a bone. I was very lucky to find a truly original 30 year old sports car. In August 2008, I entered my car in a car show at the Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills. I came mostly to see the museum for free. It was Dodge Challenger night and there were at least 20 beautiful Challengers there at the show, so I left after seeing the museum and before the awards were announced. I got a phone call from a friend that I won Best of Show! My ride the next day to WRIF Radio Station in heavy city traffic to pick up my trophy was a pleasure drive! I was smilin' ear to ear...
