...took a few years, but I found the project worth waiting for.

Porsche has been in my life forever, despite the reputation of the 911, the 944T has it's place in my brain that's hard to shake. The 944 cabriolet, has been my coveted car of choice since it's release and has been elusive(for a good one). "cyclamen Red" has always been a favorite Porsche color. I told myself years ago "if I ever see this color on a 944 (thats for sale) I'd buy it...years later after moving to the San Francisco, I saw both of my dreams together! A 944 Cabriolet...CYCLAMEN RED! I demanded my friend (driver) that we must go the car at once! I saw it from highway 101 in San Rafael in a sad condition (with a bad head and a light hit in the front) sitting on the lot of hi tech Auto ..."it's a customer's car waiting for the "go".... ok ...left my info...no calls...2 months later....the car was still there...I called made an offer....bang!!.....the car sat in my garage for a year till I was able to work on it.

What happened next!
A year later I found a 944 Turbo with low miles and a bad clutch also with a light hit in front. I pulled the engine, harness, computers and drive system...sold everything else.

Completely rebuilt the engine
using all new Porsche equipment(factory spec nothing crazy)and drive system before installing the Turbo stuff into the S2 chassis. I used our lift so everything underneath has seen my attention in detail.
Added:
adj. fuel reg
fuel rail gage
oil catch breather system
custom stainless exhaust ("muffler works" in east bay)
Dyno: 265@flywheel 219@road (Bauer Porsche in Oakland)

re-upholstered the interior
(custom color)in full leather
all seats, wrapped arm rests, door panels, shift boot, visors...

My goal is to restore the chassis and use turbo equipment.
So the car is in a clean, unmolested and factory spec. (as if adding the turbo gear is not molestation). I clean the undercarriage, new shocks and suspension components, new brakes front and rear, new interior, blah blah blah...

I have a few mods I will be making in the future.
But more importantly it need to go to the paint shop ASAP
for a complete repaint (same color of course...duh!)

I'll be posting some more pics soon like the before and after shots.

I'm looking for the rear seat delete option "stow cabinet" from a 968. if you have one (any color) your willing to sell...contact me...SOLD! ...as of 05/08 I still need one
