Battery Box & The TechShop

We have a battery box. we just got the box from an old us electric truck that was parted out. We just test fitted it today and its so close to fitting! we had to cut some of the the rear shock bracket, and now have to relocated the emergency brake cable, but for all the work its saving us its well worth it. We are going to have to do some minor ajustments to the drive shaft bracketing and pull the suspension drop but it should be all for the better! i'll try and get some better pictures up next time its in.
as you can see the box doesn't exactly line up with the rear end or the the drive shaft.....

We might not have to build our own box! Cross your fingers, next time you read this section we might have an Us Electric Car Battery box!
Update 4/30/08
To save some money and get the center of gravity lower we are going to build our own under the bed battery box. Joe and I are going to check out a place called the TechShop to do our own welding TechShop.Looks like they have a lot of good equipment available for do it yourself projects.
