this is our ride, low and it will go
ok all....here's our ride....we started this ride back in '04 when my pops and i decided to chop this thing 6",which little did we know was like chopping an egg, pops being the body guru that he is, has the patience to keep his wits when it comes to doin body work.well we got though the chop in 10 days, one donor roof, and only one bottle of jack daniels.pops lives in maine so he had to go home, thats when i started the suspension, air ride , drop spindles, some cuttin and welding,THEN,we had an addition....
when the docs all said it couldn't happen it did.....our beautiful daughter was born in '05...thats when I took off from building the ride to be the dad i am to my daughter...just over a year later we started agian...thats when i went crazy on the powerplant and pops back down to do the final body work, the wife and i decided that we'd do the interior, that took two bottles of JD,but hell,we think we did ok for the first time at doin interior work. the only things not done in our shop was 1. transmission by scotti at ratsnest racing 2.final paint by willie at CARSS in moorseville,nc 3.seats by butlerbuilt,4.machine work for engine, everything else was done in house.
back from body shop...time to mate 'em up
CHECKOUT ALL BUILD PICS ON MYSPACE PAGE..LOOKUP "ELKMOTORSPORTS"
we have a little bit of motor,2332cc blown
tilt nose to cover air and fuel tank
we did our own interior
OUR RIDE AT MANASSAS IN MAY
our door props and stickman were a big attraction
we FINALLY won a "BEST OF ENGINE" SPECIAL THANKS to my wife and daughter for all the help and putting up with dad being in the shop, pops for all the time put into the body work and other projects on this ride.steve at proflow performance for the performance help, scotti for the trans, brian at butlerbuilt for the interior supplies and killer seats, which are now available, jim at jim cook racing for his help with the motor and water leak(ask later)and anyone else whom i didn't not mention but you know you helped and it is appreciated. HOPE YOU LIKE THE RIDE>>>>LET US KNOW WHAT YA THINK.
