Updates from 10/27 - present

10/27
Well yesterday i ordered a streight threw muffler from summit to try and get a better tone out of my exhaust. it should be here by thursday that way i can put it in.

10/29
I got my glass pack from summit today and i welded some flanges to it and got it all hooked up and it makes it sound alot deaper then it did. there like zero brap in my exhaust now. in an hour or so im gona drive it and really find out what it sounds like. also i ordered another sub grille for my solo barics that i really needed. i was afraid of the seat hitting the cone so i got one from my nexdoor neibor that he had and i ordered another one on ebay. also im thinkin about getting maybe a header or something. but im also looking at this compressor/air tools deal that i found. im not shure but i think im getting the air tools becasue there awesome. ill have pics of the glasspack up here tomarro or the next day so check back soon!! peace out.

Well its been a while but there was a blizard that started yesterday adn i got to go to work in the snow today. let me tell you. a truck when mixed with snow and a 16 year old driver......awesomness. first off 4 wheeling in snow kicks ass and second of all....donuts....are SOOOOO much fun. i recomend everyone do a donut at least one time when snow is at ur disposal. i garantee u will not be dissapointed. ill have some pics of the beast in the snow a little later becasue i gota make a snow ramp that i can drive it up on. and ill have some nice flex pics on here soon.probrably the coolest part of the snow is the fishtailing you can do. u kno when u go into a turn and accidently apply just a weeee bit too much pressure on the gas pedal and the rear end swings around and then u counter act it by steering to the other side and the rear drifts aroudn the the other side. omg that soo much fun too.i may sound a little too excited about the concept of slippery roads but its my first time driving in snow and i love it... more pics will be up later so come back and check it out.

12/16
well i can say snow is still awesome to drive in. hopefully wel get some more and i can get some snow pics up here. i got one on here with my truck in the parking lot that i was doin donuts in. also i put anotherr picture up here with the plastic covers for the daylighters becasue i dont want my vinel covers getting messed up with the snow. guess i shoulda thought of that earlier but oh well. well im uploading so im go now. peace out till nextime.

CHRISTMAS
Well today i got some stuff but ther coolest thing i got was a pacesetter header from my dad. oly thing that sucked is that the header pipe didnt quite fit right so now i gota get some more 2.25 pipe and make some of the exhaust and i gota get an o2sensor bung too. should be sweet when its done. i started it up open header and it was sooooooooooooo loud. like 5 times louder then open manifold.i was afraid i was gona break teh emissions stuff of the exhaust manifold but i got it eventually. the manifold bolts didnt come off all that hard suprisingly. i tohught i was gona break at least one stud. well ill have pics up here after i get everything sorted out and done. also i got the rest of the stuff i need to finish putting playstation 2 in my truck. well almost i just need some one buck items to finish it but itll be done by tomarro night. hopefully my exhaust will be done by then too. well till i get pics up here peace out.

12/29
Well i got a pic of the header up on here tomarro ill get some more of the rest of it from like the bottom and whatnot. finally a real performance mod. till tomarro peace out...

SNOW KICKS ASS!!! just got back from doing a 4 gear 4 wheel burnout in front of my friends house. love the snow. wish we had it year round. PEACE!!

2/05
SNOW STILL KICKS ASS!!! well we got about a foot and a half of snow the other day and the guy that was plowing i gues didnt kno what he was doing and called a payloader down my street. well i got lucky and got a HUGE pile of snow made on my lawn in the perfect shape for a ramp. WELL i waws driving on it getting all kinds of flex ot of my truck. and then 2 days ago i think it rained REALLY hard and it made the huge pile freeze up really nice. so today when i got home from boces, i drove up it again and got almost to the top. what sucked is that my tires started going streight into it rather then over it becasue of how hard of an angle it was. id say it was a good 60 degree or more incline. truck went up like nothing though. its amasing the kind of torque i can get out of 4wheel low. i went up it like with one wheel to get a crazy flex and i got soooo much flex that i almost got the driver side tire off the ground. and the driver side front wheel was soo far in the wheel well it was rubbing the mudflap, and it was stereight too! and on the passenger side the rear wheel was also hitting the mud flap. when i went streight up it and climbed it i almost killed my exhaust. the tips were about an inch off the ground. ill have pics up here when i finish the camra i cant wait. till then PEACE

Yeah, the ecu was plug and play... no swapping of any other sensors or any other parts. The harness for the 22re ecu and the 22rte ecu are exactly the same so there should be no issue with just plugging in the rte ecu and having it work. All I needed to do to add a turbo was install the new ecu, put the turbo on, I put in 370 cc/min injectors which work very well with the setup, and deal with the plumbing of the turbo. If I were to run higher boost I would have lowered the compression, but that wont happen for a while so I didnt worry about it. So I guess all you would need (from an rte fuel injection system) is the ecu, and possibly the injectors unless you were planning on some others... I used a new set of RC engineering injectors and am very happy with them. The stock 22re injectors will not work, but I am sure you know that. Anyway, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask and I will help out as much as I can. My email address is: orca194@cox.net. It will be easier to get in touch with me directly through email. Good luck on the turbo, your truck will be awesome with it. I also have a tacoma with a V6 5VZFE, that is my daily driver and makes for a great truck. Unfortunately I dont have the money to start modifying that also.

Hey, thanks for checking out my celica. As for the fuel and ignition, I am using a 22rte ecu, like you said you saw, and I have an MSD boost timing master/multispark ignition system that I have not gotten around to installing yet. The RTE ecu should plug right in to the factory harness as the ecu's are physically the same, they just have different maps, etc programmed into them. The MSD system is not needed (I haven't needed it yet), but I have to run premium gasoline to stop detination from occuring. Also I am sure you know this, but the RTE ecu does have a limit that once you add too much boost it cuts fuel. I have been running at 7 psi and been fine, I dont know where this occurs, I have heard around 10 psi, but like I said, I dont know.
