Here she is! My new little toy! I have always wanted my own Spitfire since I first saw one when I was 14. I found this little jewel on Craigslist a month or so ago. I got her for $2000. A small price to pay for my dream car, lol. The car was purchased in LA and driven to San Diego during rush hour. She did great! The previous owner kept her running but did little concerning preservation. My goal is to get her as good as new so I can make it my weekend car. The process is going a little slow but I am having a blast doing it !

My little toy. This is a pic after a good bath. She was pretty dirty inside and out when I got her. The paint is in pretty good condition with a chip here and there, nothing major.
Original condition of door panels

Here is the finished door panel. After a good clean up and a bit of vinyl paint.

The engine after some cosmetic work and a tune up. I replaced the spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor and ignition coil.

Electrical - A work in progress. Some of the switches need to be replaced as well as some of the gaskets. I am in the process of restoring the wooden dash panels. They are pretty dried out and I do not want them to crack. Also, the dashboard will need some work. I think I am just going to replace it.
Installed the new dashboard!
