Well, This is my first restoration/conversion I have ever attempted. Having never welded or done body work before, I think I have done a great job! I purchased this car in Jan 2007 off Ebay as a "SOLID" body....Solid is right, It was "SOLID" full of Bondo and Fiberglass!!! I replaced over 70% of the metal on this car. I even had to replace the roof because of rust, so I put a Bubbletop roof on it from a 61 Pontiac I got for free from a local Salvage yard. I have done a complete Frame Off Restoration and everything is either new or restored.
It will go in for paint on May 10, 2008 and will be painted House of Kolor Orion Silver from the side moulding down and Galaxy Grey From the side moulding up. For now I will be putting an aftermarket Red Interior in it. Soon I will upgrade it to Dk Grey/Lt Grey Leather. I am also using the center console from a 63 Impala SS.
