Exhaust System

I am running basically a 2.5" cat-back exhaust system with a supertrapp muffler (stainless 2.5" inlet, 4" outlet).

I've actually enjoyed this muffler so far, I hear alot of people complaining about how Supertrapps sound with the disks on, but I haven't had any complaints yet and rather enjoy the way it sounds (I just wish it were louder, most glasspacks I've used- on this car even, were significantly louder).

You can actually feel the change in the power band by adjusting the amount of backpressure in the exhaust system, so far that feature of the supertrapp design has worked well for me. It also looks "stock enough" to not draw attention to the exhaust system and doesn't sacrifice too much ground clearance, not that this car couldn't be lowered (or at least given better rims).

These mufflers come with 12 disks normally, but you can get more- they will accept quite a bit more, if you want even more flow.

I consider the change fairly worthwhile from my virtually open 3" exhaust, that and most states do not allow side exits on cars that did not leave the factory with them... I rather decrease the odds of getting problems come state inspection time.

I have a sound clip of this exhaust configuration with 6 disks @ idle. Its a cell phone recording so the quality isn't perfect but it will do for now.
