Here is my story. I had a 83 turbo in high school and wrecked it, bending the frame and basically totaling it. It was a beautiful car with 91,000 miles and all stock. It had a 5 speed, t-tops, digital dash, and suede/leather interior.

If you look at the wheel on the right and how its pushed up, thats how bad the impact was. Hitting a tree at 35 mph isnt good on a Z. The car on those jackstands is actually level but it sure doesnt look like it with that impact.

Now, I'm a Junior in college and in need of new wheels. We got this Z for 500 which seems like a lot but it did come with some parts and once they are all sold we would have basically got it for free. I believe there are 220,000 miles on it but there is very little rust, minimal body damage and has good glass.

I have been working on the car for about a month now. I am swapping all of the parts from my good turbo to this silver Z. It was an 83 NA and already has the fuel tank, lines, and brakes and brake lines in the car. All of the turbo parts are going over to this Z and I will have a good set of wheels to go to school with.

This is what I eventually want the Z to look like except for the rear spoiler and the wheels. I want to keep my swastika wheels and most definitely add the smoked headlight covers, front air dam, and paint it black. This might have to wait till next summer when I will have more money.

Hey thanks for the comment! You are doing almost exactly what I did! I wrecked mine in High School and I am in my 3rd year of college now fixing up my ZX! I will hopefully be able to take it out today if a needed part shows up! Its looking real good! Looks like your moving along nicely! When you get further into it take more pictures and keep everyone updated! Oh ya I am Yeti's280zxt on Zcar.com -Matt
