This is my 1987 GMC S-15 Pickup.
Before anyone bitches, cardomain is freaking retarded and keeps telling me that a 1987 GMC S-ANYTHING is an invalid make/model so I gave up and put it here.
It's got the boar anchor 2.8L engine, and thousands and thousands of dollars worth of repair work. When I purchased the truck, it was nothing but expandafoam and body filler. Over the past 11 months I've replaced a good 90% of the truck with new parts.
So far I've replaced (off the top of my head - I know there's more):
* Fenders
* Wheelwells
* Radiator core support
* Headlight retainers
* Rocker panels
* Cab corners
* Bed (replaced with used)
* Bedsides on used bed
* Sections of the floor inside the cab
* Sections of floor inside the bed
* Bodymounts
* Bed & bodymount mounting points
* Bodymount point (on cab)
* Rear leaf springs
* RH Spring perch
* Transmission crossmember
* Gas tank
* Radiator
* Fuel filler neck
* Tail light wiring
* ALL brake lines
* Fuel lines
* Rotors, Drums, Calipers, Wheel cylinders, Pads
* Radiator cooling fan
* Complete exhaust system
* Driver side door bottom
And I've added:
* 2" PA Bodylift
* Custom LED Lund sunvisor
* Pushbumper
* Lightbar
* A few thousand watts of off-road accessory lighting
* Cheapo $30 Wal-Mart special CD player
* Hidden amplified FM antenna
* Blazer wheel centercaps (hard to find!)
* Cheapo plastic bedliner
* Aluminum bed rails
* Electric fan (from a Lumina) & adjustable thermostat
* Alternator/battery for complete secondary isolated system for aux lights
* WOLO electric air horns & WOLO Bad Boy air horn
* 10w PA Speaker
* Wi-Fi antenna
* Mini towing/blind spot mirrors
* Lighted rearview mirror (also from a Lumina)
* Cobra 40 channel CB & my AWESOME 10' whip antenna
* Bearcat scanner
* Audiobahn 4x6 front and 4x10 rear speakers.
Things I have, but still have to add:
* Audiobahn 12" subs
* Carputer
* GPS receiver
* Wi-Fi receiver in carputer
Things still on my "to-get" list
* Amplifier
* Winching bumpers front & rear
* 33 x 12.50 x 15 Wild Country RVTs
* Suspension lift (may go SFA instead of an IFS lift)
* Winch
* Safari roof rack
* Snorkel
* In-truck camera (to be hooked to carputer)
* Bushwacker cutout fender flares (if I can find them cheap)
* Pickup bed trailer* (more on this below)
*Pickup bed trailer: I'm looking to make a trailer out of a shortbed S10/15 1st gen truck (to exactly match mine) so I can carry more gear/toys onto the trails with me.
Well, here's some pictures from when I first purchased the truck, to how it sits now. I have thousands of dollars, and hundreds of hours of work put into it - and she's still not close to being done yet.
