So I was working in New Jersey for 7 months and got quite a bit of work done.
The first thing I did was add a rear anti-sway bar, I went with the obvious choice for the Fit, Progress.
I guess I didn't take any pictures of this, but this was a great mod. After installing the bar I went for a little drive and instantly felt the difference. In the Fit and many cars, when changing lanes at high speed the roll after correcting from the lane change the body roll is somewhat significant, and this helped SOOOOO much.
After that I decided to add a little exhast. I wanted subtle, that was number 1. Fortunately there are lots of sound clips on fitfreak.net so i was able to listen to the exhaust before i bought, so I went with the Tanabe Medallion Touring Exhaust. It was a little bit louder than i expected at first, but I fell in love. I can't remember exactly how it was before I added my intake, but hearing those higher rpms is orgasmic. At normal driving speeds its not that loud. Which is wanted, obviously I listen to a lot of music and I don't want my exhaust to ruin my listening experience. But when I have a heavy foot, the sound is just right.
So next was the intake, I went with a chamber intake from H-Fit. The Supa Sucka, yea cheezy name I know, therefore I call it SSI. But it was a good buy. I decided on this for its torque gain. The whole idea of a chamber intake is great and it was obvious these folks were out for low end torque out of this vtec engine, which is perfect because that was what i was lookign for. The big difference, besides the sound, is highway acceleration. When going from 60 to 80+ my engine can FINALLY breathe! This makes the little fit seem more... dare I say powerfull... quick.
Next to my list of mods... my wheels!!!!! Oh the good stuff baby! I have a white Fit with tint, so I totally wanted to pull that black and use it for my wheels. So I went with black racing rims with a red lip. (In the future I will hopfully get red emblems!!!). These are 16x7 Rota Boost and they weight about 16lbs. They are wrapped in Pirelli PZero Nero 205/45/16. I wanted an all-season Z rated tire, this is what I wanted. After putting this combo on the car... i felt more bumps. Not too bad, but knowticable. I didn't go with 17s because I was told with such a low profile tire it would be really bumpy, so I can;t imagine what those guys have to deal with.
Next mod was the Tanabe GF210 springs. I wanted a modest drop, no dealing with rubbing, or scraping on my steep driveway. Did I say bumpy earlier? Well now the ride is rough. I guess its not that bad, it could definately be worse with a lower drop, but it get pretty annoying, especially living in NJ when I did this, the roads are extra shitty up there.
