Hi graham, I didnt sell my orion I bought it 14years ago and spent the first 3years restoring it to the condition its still in today. There very very rare as they only manufactured 1500 units in total and out of that 1500 theres only 250 left on the road according to the DVLA. Your orion looks nice to mate. Do you have any other pictures of your car(interior, exterior, engine bay, boot, etc, etc)Ive still got the original Pirelli P600 on my alloy wheels. There very very very rare, they stopped making that tyre in 1990???The only thing that mine doesnt have is the illuminated sunvisors as per the sales book described at the time, Ive seen a couple more orion 1600E and not 1 of them have the illuminated sunvisors(maybe a printing error from ford at the time or maybe they changed there mind and didnt install the sunvisors from the granada in the Orion 1600E, because thats where the leather bound steering wheel came from the granada scorpio ghia at the time they were manufacturing the orion 1600E, then tickford wre given the bog standard orion ghias and retrimmed the seats in the grey leather trim at there factory???)I managed to get the sales broucher when the vehicle was launched but at 12,500 for the car at 1988 was a lot of dosh so couldnt afford one at the time, but I managed to pick up my orion when it was 4 years old and it was a sorry state when I ought it, it was like a cigarette ashtray. Had to stip car to bare shell and start from scratch. All new leather seats, new carpets, new body panels(both rear quaters inners and outers, front wings, landing panel, front crossmember, door repairs) Just a mess, shes looking good since all that work&it gets many comments and stares when people see it.For being so popular on the roads in the 1980-90's, you hardly see any orions even escort model these days.I keep mine in heated garage&it only comes out when its sunny and dry.Car starts every time right of the key.Send me some picts if you can to email address ray.brewer@ hotmail.co.uk.
