My 1969 BBG Javelin, 343 4 speed, Crane cam & kit, Hooker Headers, Ofe intake, 3:94 rear, Lakewood traction bars, I orginally purchased this car new in November of 1969. As a young kid, It was my everyday car used for work, and on weekends, I openned up the headers, put on the slicks and ran 12.80's with it in SS/K at Island Dragway in Great Meadows, NJ.
I did a full restoration on this car over 22 years ago. I haven't shown the car in over five years now, but it has won well over 100 awards, many being first place. It has reached Senior division in the AMO nationals, took 2nd in the AMC class at the Mopar Nationals at Indianapolis several years ago. It has been featured on T-shirts, dash plaques, calanders, and was pulled for magazine pictures at Mopars at Carisle several years ago.
