Dorothy is a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan that has been modified slightly to provide safety and usability for successful severe weather intercepts.  Currently, she has the following modifications and equipment:  Ultrabright lightbar that I installed in the stock roof-rack, a Setina PB100 Police grade push bar, a CB radio, weather scanner, laptop with stand, and an array of weather instruments that I will have pictures of here soon.  So what is it that I do that requires all this?  I am a storm chaser with Extreme Weather Storm Chasers based in Sioux Falls South Dakota.   I live in Colorado and provide media coverage and local spotting for my state when severe weather strikes.  When people normally run from storms, I am there headed stright for them.  So have a look around, and thanks for stopping by!

The weather mast includes three sensors:  Hygro-thermal, anemometer, and rain gauge.

Here you can see the light armor I installed to protect the radar fins from hail and other debris.

Hey Joe !!! How's everything ? Sweet van as always, I like your new add-ons...it shows you really mean business. lol And yeah, I do have a lot of plans for the Grand Am, but it's stored for the winter, I'll keep working on it next summer. So new plans are; Cobalt/G5 door handles, engine rebuild, all the bodywork (maybe paint). Full-fiberglass trunk lid, full interior as well. I have two directions I'd like to go with this car...but I'm still undecided. lol. Anyway, keep me updated on your van, and have fun !!! J-S
