My 2008 Suzuki SX4 Crossover 5-Speed Touring Edition AWD
May not be the sportest car around, but it's sweet daily driver til I get my WRX or my bike, which ever comes first.
Stock options are okay, but this car needs some upgrades, though there isn't nearly enough for this car yet
Car defiantly needs some power upgrades, a turbo kit will be avaible for the Sx4 Manual in June of 2008, but personally I didn't buy this car to race in it so seems kinda pointless to me (plus with an est. price of $5400 dollars, it's kinda out of my price range). Though I did some other upgrades just to help out in daily driving.
Also here before too long I plan on taking it to a nearby track and seeing what it'll run in the 1/4 mile.

I actually had the CAI, the underdrive pulley, and the exhaust tip sitting at home before i bought the car. And the intake was thrown on with about 86 miles on the car. The exhaust and the pulley was put on at about 280 miles.
For all of you with a Suzuki SX4, I cut off the resinator when I had my custom exhuast system put on (a little past the axle) but the resinator was completly hollow, so no real point in cutting it off, unless you just don't want it there.
Wow, put the piggy back ecu on this weekend, it helped to bring the car to life some, though scared the crap out of myself when installing it. I had everything hooked up and tucked back in nice and neat, and when I went to start the car it started up... then stalled out by itself. So I started it again... same results (by the way it was in netural this whole time with my foot on the clutch to start it). So I'm thinking to myself, great I just f***ed myself. So I ripped it all back apart and here it was just that the MAF (mass air flow) sensor wasn't making contact. So it's back up and running now and I don't know yet if it was worth the steep price ($425 w/shipping) but it seems to have awakened the car some more.
Estimated horsepower breakdown:
- 143hp Stock
- 10hp est from exhaust
- 13hp from CAI (dyno tested - not by me)
- 10hp from light weight pulley (light weight pulley weighs 2lbs, stock weighed in at 13lbs)
- 10hp est from Piggy-back ECU
= 186hp est. - pure estimate, I have yet to test it on a dyno-jet.
