Camaro91boy's 1997 Volkswagen Passat

So i sold my 1991 toyota 4x4 pick up for $2300 cash and turned around to buy my v-dub from a local mechanic who i am friends with he said the owner just decided that he would rather have the mechanic buy the car rather than fix the water pump. (it was cheaper) so the guy bought a new one and i bought this one for $3670 all it needs is a water pump replaced with came with car along with an extra thermostat and extra gaskets and a brand new battery.

All in all this car is realy nice. the only bad spot on body is a small bubble in paint where it started to rust. other than that my passenger side back door handle dosent work.

The owner before me was a smoker and this car is a 5spd so all of his ashes fell on to knob and shift boot. being the neat freak i am i tore it out and bought new both. one of the local stores in town had sale on that type of stuff so i got both for under $10 i foun a cool looking shifter knob but didn't like color so i sandblasted it and repainted it now it looks great.
also my radio was locked up and i didn't have code so my theory was why take it out to get code when i can just replace it with a cd player from my shelf so $25 more and i now have pioneer cd player that matches interior lights and dash color. almost looks stock. Then i fixed trunk button. and while i was doing sterio work i ran rca cables and amp lead wire so i wouldn't have to do it again when i finally decide to put subs in.

so all thats left is door handle and water pump. and a few odds and ends of not perfectly conditioned interior parts that need replaced.

Future (neer future) i will add rims probably going 16's or 17's cant decide definatly gloss or gunmetal center or spokes and chrome ring around outside of center. haven't decided wheather 5 or 6 spoke though.

i will definately be adding those projector like head lights.

if they make tail lights that change all of lenses not just ones on fenders but also trunk lid ill do them too.

Subs are a must but ive got connections in that department.

and probably like a small wing like the jetta or slightly larger not to big.

also i saw a cool looking front bumper where they changed the part where the forlights are but made it look more aggressive. idont know company but its one from Germany it like a 3 letter name. that might be a little later though.

and then exhaust the thing is way too quiet and ive heard them sound like porsche before so id like to try for that. other than that im content it would be my coolest daily driver yet.

Pg 1 what ive got

pg 2 how its going
