"Tangled up in Blue"
2002 Grand Prix GTP
This is my 2002 Grand Prix GTP with 3800 Series II supercharger a few days after I bought it. Here she's all stock with no mods. This car was built at the GM Fairfax plant in Kansas City, Kansas where my Dad, Uncle and Wife all work. When we pulled the hood liner we found my wife's writing where she marked the paint color in the paint booth. It really is a family built car.
And in April of 09, one year later with drilled/slotted rotors, ceramic brakes, painted calibers, ported/polished supercharger, cold air intake, painted valve cover, 180 T stat, Street Scene grills, and limited edition polished wheels.
Getting ready for a meet means a major cleaning. It also gave me a chance to show off the yellow coloring I had added under the hood.With warm weather finally arriving I could start some of the projects I've been saving up. First up was to paint the calipers, install Brake Lab rotors and ceramic pads. Page two shows some of the work that went into the change over. Here's some shots of the finished project.
After the mods comes a good cleaning with some Zanio and a few pictures from places around town.
