It begins!

Not knowing what it was I just felt this car was something special.warwizard's 1975 Volkswagen Passat

My woman also really enjoyed helping me rebuild this baby!

It was meant to be a quick new interior but the custom factory rally seats had me intrigued.

Then the radiator went and the motor seized. So I began the search and the journey to locate spare parts and discover history.

The result; a unique piece of motoring history restored over 4 years, alot of time and considerable dollars!

From the Dunlop F1 205/16 and Audi super tourer wheels, this baby has been lovingly fault tested. A 1.5ltr Audi single overhead cam, completely balanced and 30 thou oversized bore.

Complete head rebuild to custom stainless steel extractors. The vehicle is kept factory built but a few enhancements have been added to the trim.

The completely recovered and trim dash features a hand carved Maranti timber
insert with hand made brass trim for the left and right vents and floor air controls.

The exterior paint is the factory colour but now done in 2Pac.She also has a factory sunroof, making her even rarer. This is trimmed off with gold anodized alloy and stainless steal factory corner clips.

The original rear hatch trim died being plated and cracked so after much persisting a patient jeweller friend this rear trim is now hand cast 9 carat gold alloy. (not shown in photos)

The brakes are new German discs with factory callipers and the rear bias has been increased with the addition of a larger drum break set up.

Re-chromed bumpers and stainless steel bolts in the engine bay set off a gold block. This little darling handles as she looks and stands defiant in her pedigree. But alas she must move on as much as I.

This is history in its rare form. Wheels car of the year 1975, world and European rally champion 1.5ltr class 195/76.

This is a beautiful vehicle and a joy to possess. So who's offering??
