This is my Chrysler (Valiant Charger). For those that aren't familiar with Aussie Mopars it is on the same A-Body Chassis that Darts and Dusters are. The Charger is a totally Aussie design and came in a straight 6 hemi and the same LA small blocks used in US cars.
This particular car started life as 770 model (wich is one of the up-spec versions) with a 318 but has undergone a restoration and has received some more help in the "go" department
Exterior
Big Red had a respray using Maranello Red but is pretty much stock, chrome was re-done and nos badges added
Engine / Drivetrain
We gave her a heart transplant to 360 (LA) with ported J heads, Pacemaker extractors, twin 3" mandrel bent exhaust, Holley 750dp, Comp cams 284, Eddy air gap mainfold, MSD 6AL ignition. To keep her cool we also added a 4 core aluminium radiator
The gearbox is a shift kitted 727 and the diff is Ford 9" with 3.55 gears. She makes about 350HP at the rear wheels.
Wheels /Suspension
Big Red sits on 17" Torq Thrust II's imported from the U.S. and has been lowered 1 1/2". Bigger torsion bars and 32mm sway bars with Rancho adjustable shocks and Nolathane bushes help her to steer properly.
Interior
Standard fishscale tacho dash with the only change being Recaro sports seats - these are much more comfortable for those Saturday Night muscle car cruises.
