pto winch, i can only guess it is about an 8000lb rating
this was a dealer option as far as i know, they extended the front end to clear it.
yes, the body is rough, the lower portions of front fenders do flap in the wind
pass rear 1/4
pass side body tub pretty straight
The ice froze the hood shut so I don't have any underhood pics at this time.
rear area fairly good. tailgate has been repaired a few times, if I recall correctly you need to push in on it a little to get the windo to go up and down, torsion bars were replaced. it is a custom rear bumper with no-skid tape on top, and there is grab handles on roof rack (i spent a lot of time riding on the back of this in the mountains)
drivers side of body tub fairly straight
drivers front fender got caved in from an ice shelf in a river crossing, the same ice bent the leaf springs on this corner, but those were replaced with new stock springs
yes, rust, all the stickers in 1/4 window are hunting licenses, my grandfather was a member of the 500 or maybe it is 600 club, where the first 500 or 600 license holders got the same license number every year. this is a one owner vehicle, he started hunting with it, the year he got it, maybe a year later
original rubber floor covering, and vinyl door panels
dash is getting pretty rough
odometer has rolled at least once, top end of engine has been rebuilt at some point, but i do not know the mileage it happened at
little stick on left is for the pto winch. not sure what the bracket is for
front seat was re-upholstered and is in good shape. the white powder is snow, someone left the window down an inch, the other white things are scraps of a plastic trash bag that fell apart when i moved it
rear seat spent it's whole life covered with a tarp to protect it from dogs and kids, so it is orignal and in good shape
headliner is pretty good, there are a couple small tears in it.
this rig is an amazing off-roader. i spent every summer for at least 10 years riding around in this thing going camping. i would guess that at least 1/3 if not 1/2 the miles on this rig were in fourwheel drive in the mountains, or snow out on the ice on canyon ferry and other lakes. the tires are tube type bias ply tires, and could stand being replaced, but all are holding air and still have at least 25% tread. My grandfather took meticulous care of this rig... other than the body, mechanicly it is very sound. It is located in east helena montana, but you may not go look at it without me or my dad, as my grandfathers memmory is so bad he doesn't remember from one day to the next that it is for sale. I would appreciate getting what we ask for this rig, as the money goes to my grandparents to help with their in-home health care bills. I will understand if it doesn't sell for $800, but any offers for less than that will have to wait to see if someone will give $800 for it. for someone that knows fourwheel drives, and how practicly bullet-proof this things drivetrain is (it can handle huge tires and lots of horse power with out being upgraded), will realize that this package with the winch is worth what we are asking for it. if you want something nice looking that can go into 4wd for driving on snowy roads, this is not the vehicle for you (mileage is terrible), look at my 84 crusier instead. you can contact me at boebr1@yahoo.com brian
