This is my 1986.5 Nissan D-21 Hardbody. This is my first "Minitruck" and I am trying to do things as legit as possible and on the smallest dime.. Craigslist and Ebay are proving to be my biggest friends on this truck.

DETAILS: 1986.5 nissan

Z-24I 4 cyl. (first month of fuel injection)

              5-speed

              2wd      (h190 rear end)

86,000 miles when i bought it... 109,000 as of 3/25/09

My first mod to the truck was the stereo.. since i did not have one to begin with.. ive always had a sony headunit so i figured id buy a new one...bought the gtx 520 with some normal sony door speakers. also installed the pioneer 10" sub with my kenwood class D 1100w mono amp from my previous truck.

Next thing i did was scored some 2" Belltech Spindles from ebay for $80 (300+ normal) and some 2" blocks. cut my exhaust off from the cat and replaced it with 2.5" cat back to an advanced auto 3a rice can. (March 2008)

While attending school in BME milford Ne. i have PLENTY of time to do homework on all of my options for this truck.

Installed new headlamps so that i could install blue bulbs and later on some HID lights.

After playing around with this truck for a bit i have decided to try and make it a track truck or better yet a drift truck after i had seen this picture...future plans may involve an sr20 with some light modification :)....

                                               Roadkill1260's 1986 Nissan Pickup

drove the truck like this for the remainder of 2008. January this year i have started a new quarter in school so... once again the fun begins... lowered the front of the truck another inch with the torsion bars and bought 3" blocks in the back. still want to go lower though.. i dont want to bag it since i am still wanting to take this truck on the road course. (JAN 2009)

The truck is low enough i cant go any lower without buying new rims that have the correct offset to tuck. i also noticed that my $60 fart can had started to rust a little. so I replaced it with a MEGAN racing can. ($150 new... $50 from a forum)

Installed a front sway bar. still debating on buying a rear sway bar.

Got tired of "wanting" and not "Having" HIDs so i bought some from ebay. 10k hi/low kit... definately look amazing, Bright as hell. (FEB 2009)

Got tired of the sound so i decided to upgrade...again.. i had two 10's behind my seat in my old truck and wanted the beats back... took some time and bought two alpine type S 10" subs, studied the specs and spent 4 days desiging two boxes for the truck. had the wood cut and assembled ( i am a technician not a carpenter) but i carpeted and wired the boxes myself.. ($400 custom box OR 4 days, $50 for 3/4" MDF and carpet.) looks good and sounds even better. After the rattles started to show i stripped the interior and put in some roofing insulation that looks and works just like DYNOMAT but it 10x cheaper ($16 for a 25ft2 roll)  i still have to do my floor pans and doors. (Feb 2009)

I also found a newer seat that i had to modify to fit the subs comfortably.. (i'm 6'1" i need all the room i can get.)

By Far my biggest score yet is the 16"x 7" NISMO wheels i just scored. I have been looking around for these wheels for months and cant find them for under 400 a wheel and they have been discontinued for a while now. they are Rays Engineering, same company that makes VOLK and Gramlight and others, Joined with Nissan for a abit and  made these wheels.. so $1600 for just the wheels OR I get EXTREMELY lucky on craigslist and find these for $500 with rubber in Kansas City. Just put some new rubber on them old tires were 225/50/r16 new tires are Falken Ziex 952 225/55/r16. Love the wheels but i still need to get the truck lower to just tuck the tip of the tire.

Looking to have my rear Leafs re arched at a truck shop in town and lowering the front with the torsion bars again.

I have FINALLY decided what color i would like to paint the truck... Laser blue Metallic.. GM color but very similar to STI blue. might powder coat the wheels white and shave some things. also getting ready to step up the front brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. Put new carpet in the truck and try that roll in bedliner you can buy from wal mart.. Let me know what you think.. i will have better pics soon..

Wanted:  anyone have a tail gate, hood without scoops, front 2wd fenders or rear sway bar that they think will fit my truck.. hit me up i might drive to you to buy them.

4/01/09  SOMEBDY STOLE MY SHIT.... I stayed the night in lincoln with my gf and come out to the lot in the morning and all my shit is gone... subs stereo amp door spkrs if you see this stuff anywhere let me know. $1200 worth gone like that.

Well so far nothing has showed up. So i have decided to start fresh again. Alpine headunit, Alpine Type S component speakers, Alpine 800w class D Amp. still deciding on what type of setup to run for a subwoofer. After having such great success with building two sealed 10's that pounded hard and sounded great, such great success that someone decided to  steal them after a month. I am going to play with the idea of building a box for a ported 10".

Also finished putting the off brand dynomat in my doors. and replaced the plastic weather seal crap. I am waiting to have a solid one piece rear window installed since that is how they broke into my truck. and a car alarm is in the near future.

LET ME KNOW YOUR OPINION> TWO sealed 10"s or one ported 10".
