This page is "recent" stuff. Sort of, mostly all the stuff I've done in the year or so since I updated this, which has been a few things.

After having this fan bracket for awhile, I decided to make a shroud for it as I knew it'd make it more efficient.

I basically just bought a big sheet of aluminum, cut it out with tin snips and a dremel, and bent it to the shape I needed it (not too easy to do without a brake). It's spaced off the radiator one inch with rubber blocks, and the shroud encloses it completely.

I can say that the shroud does in fact work. With the fans running, you can feel the fans pulling air through the radiator through the gap between the hood and header panel! And, after the fans run for a few minutes, the front side of the radiator fins get cool enough to touch, even if the coolant is at 200 degrees. It pulls air through the entire front face of the radiator, so I'm pretty satisfied with the results.

I took the taillights apart and cleaned out the inside (they had been leaking and were pretty grubby). I also painted the reflectors at the bottom of the taillights with Tailshades tint spray, and I think they look much better. It's so subtle that no one really catches it, though.

This is the new intercooler I installed over the winter. It's a pretty nice piece, a bit bigger than the Starion IC I was using before and supposed to flow much better. I designed and made some mounts for it. They aren't the prettiest things, bit the intercooler is mounted with rubber bushings and it's all easy to disassemble and remove.

I decided I was a little bored with the front bumper, and I had seen someone else with a Turbo Coupe that had the center license plate recess cut out so I took the plunge. I cut it out with a hacksaw blade for the most part. I covered the hole (and the foglight holes) with some aluminum mesh. I also had the idea to mount some driving lights behind the mesh of the center openings. It took a little effort to make it all work, but I think it looks pretty sweet (definitely unique) and the driving lights are a big help on country roads at night.

3" exhaust elbow for the turbo that I got from 40bob. The decrease in spool time from just this is unbelievable, my old T3 spooled nearly from idle and my 57 trim spools about like a T3 with stock everything else did. I modified the elbow a bit from how I bought it; I welded a flange to it so that I could use a slip joint on the elbow with a band clamp. On the right is the downpipe, which I also changed a bit for the elbow (cut off original flange, added straight section, and welded in flex joint)

Custom indiglo gauge faces that I had made for my car. These were made for me by a guy on a message board I go to, and they look awesome. They were a pain to install and get working (I had to connect all the wires to the indiglo myself, which is borderline torture), but the end result was (almost) worth it ;). I especially like the fact that they look so much like Autometer Phantom gauges (which was my goal) and no one else has gauge faces like these.

I heard your exhaust clip on the Stangnet Site. It is the best sounding 2.3 I had ever heard. Given the price of gas, I am considering an engine swap to the 2.3 Turbo. It would also give my car a better balanced vehicle for handling.
