This is my 1987 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe...it's a work in progress.

Engine specs:
1984 2.3L Turbo block
Stock crank, pistons, and rods (with ARP rod bolts)
Crank scraper & custom made windage tray
ARP head studs
Ported, polished & CC'ed head
Ford Motorsport A237 roller cam with Racer Walsh Stage 1 springs & Esslinger adjustable sprocket
Slightly ported & polished intakes, upper opened up for '95 GT throttle body
35 lb injectors, Accel adjustable fuel pressure regulator
Bob's Log manifold
Turbonetics single ball bearing T3/T04E hybrid (.60/.63, 57 trim compressor, Stg. 3 turbine) with -4 AN feed line and custom -12 AN return line to pan, Gillis valve boost controller
Front mount intercooler, Forge blowoff valve, blow-through VAM setup
Centerforce II clutch
Dual 12" fans on custom built bracket, with adjustable temp fan controller
3.5" mandrel bent aluminum CAI
Chassis/Suspension mods:
MM strut tower brace
MM 2-point K-member brace
Subframe connectors
BBK Mustang 5.0 front lowering springs
'94 GT rear springs & helper airbags
All these things together lowered the car nicely and really tightened up the handling. You can really throw it through some corners now. I'm looking forward to when I can finally get around to a 5-lug swap and put some nice 17's and 245/45's on the car.

This the exhaust I have on the car-a 3" downpipe with a 3" exhaust split into dual 2 1/2" pipes. Much better than the puny stock exhaust on the right, isn't it? The exhaust runs through two Hooker Maximum Flow mufflers, Flowmaster 2 1/2" mandrel bent tailpipes, and some nice stainless tips. Here's a sound clip, however this was with the old engine. I'm hoping to get one with the new engine eventually.
This exhaust system was built for me by Stinger, it fits great and was a good price too.

The interior is mostly stock. I have VDO boost and water temp gauges in a pillar pod (FYI a '94-98 Mustang pillar pod fits pretty good. Not exact, but it works!), Autometer oil temp, oil pressure, and volt gauges in the center console, custom made Indiglo gauge faces in cluster (details on page 3), a UPR Blu Thunder shifter, and a Sony CD player with Pioneer speakers. Details about the console gauge panel are on page 2.

This is a picture of the "new" engine right after I first pulled it. It was originally in a 1984 Turbo Coupe with 145,000 miles on it.

This is the engine that used to reside in the car. Yeah, it leaked a whole lot of oil.
Page 2 Older stuff- features some interim pics of the buildup as well as pictures of some of the goodies I got for the engine.
