The Interior in Progress

BigRedMopar's 1969 Volkswagen Beetle

Well the interior is still in progress, like the whole car, but here's a picture to give you an idea of whats going on in there. The new seats are going to be old school fiberglass racing seats with tan covers .It is a very minimalistic interior but stands out with lots of bright glassy red and black paint. The smaller chrome Grant steering wheel and the Scat Drag-fast shifter will be the only real pizaz, besides the doorpanels, which are staying in, unlike the stereo, carpet, headliner. I stripped the window tint off to give people a nice view of this high contrast and simple interior.

Even the neighborhood dogs dig it!

Why "Der Schatten" (the shadow)? What do you want to say with it?

nice bug indeed, those checkered door panels are fantastic :P so i didnt vote on your poll, cuz IMHO, the best thing to do isnt listed there... since it looks like you are going for the rat-rod look, i would go with a choptop but keep the roof, chop the front like 4 inches down and leave the back at normal height to give the roof a nice rake to it; looks ill... or if you do go for a chopped windsheild, you should put a carson top on it, then you can have the convenience of a vert, with a sweet rod look. just a thought.

Which wheels are you running? I like the fancy ones, they look great.
