BIT OF A BIO OF THE EL CAMINO
hi well this is my 78 el camino its my project i worked and bought this car myself i wanted an el camino since i was a young kid and i finally have one it needs alot of work alot of rust from canadian winters but i am slowly fixing it up when i got the car the guy glued in red velvet on the ceiling and on both door panels the interior was all apart in the car when i got it so when i brought it back to my garage i started to realize what he had done it was badly put on with contact cement and when i took apart the bottom door panel he had put in the velvet with peal and press floor tiles and wood glue but i have take all the velvet out of the car and re apholstered the ceiling with black vinle and the dash that was in the car was torn apart was put togther with even more contact cement and cereal box`s!! but he did give me a spare dash so i have changed it i plan on getting black racing seats to keep the classic look because it has these orange seats in it now the car was painted purple and black and dark purple but iafter i do the body work i plan on priming it until i have enough for a paint job i have done most of hte work myself with some help from my friend will be posting pics really soon only have engine pics i changed my spark plug wires and put on a chrome altenator braket and painted some of my pully`s the guy painted almost everything in the eninge bay orange so i am working on geting it back to normal i plan on having the engine rebuilt by a garage because i do not have the knoledge to do it well thanks for checking out my page much more pics coming soon
