Just to be clear, this is not my Cuda, but a car that I was contracted to do the Body and Paint work on for a Customer/friend.
11/16/08 I accompanied my friend with his '71 Cuda to a car gathering at Captree Park on Sunday A.M.. It was fun and there were a few Mopars as well as some other nice cars. The car looked good and runs strong. Just need to work out some bugs with its idling. Overall, it drives real well. Enjoy the pictures:

May 2004 And the beginning of the resto:

This Cuda will be completed in about 1 month, which brings the timeframe to Four years since I started. It initially looked pretty straight with the normal dings and dents. I only agreed to take the job if I stipped it down to bare metal and built up a proper substrate so that I can guarantee my work. Little did I know that the entire car was covered in up to 1/4" thick filler. Over 150 holes drilled and not properly welded shut (only filled with filler), and metal work not done to nearly the degree it should have been. All the holes were mig welded shut and ground down after much metal work was completed. the entire car was then skim coated with Rage Gold filler over PPG DP90 epoxy primer. More block sanding than I care to remember occured and then covered again in DP90. I rented a Spray booth at a local body shop for a day where I shot the Cuda with PPG Basecoat/ Clearcoat. It is currently wetsanded to 2000 waiting to be buffed out. I just buffed the pass. fender and upper pass. quarter to give a peak at what it will look like to its owner. I just finished restoring the grille. Some plastic repair need to be done and after wetsanding the grille, it was painted using accurate colors. The result was very pleasing to me. The vinyl top is going on this coming Sunday, the buffing will follow, and after that , the chrome trim and bumpers will go on to complete the job. Under the surface, the brakes, suspension and tires are all new.
The color is all original: Autumn Bronze, as well as an original vinyl top car, and the engine is numbers matching. It is a very special car, and I have restored this car as if it was my own.
Finally Finished this project. Turned out very nice and I am pleased with the results. Here are the final pictures. Thanks

I hope you enjoy the pictures. Thanks for looking,
Greg.
