These pix are of cars I've been "involved" with, but not owned.....
This is a 69 Z-28 with the factory cross-ram, dual quad 302 and a Muncie M-22 4spd. Holy shit this car was FAST !!! The cam was so huge that the thing wouldn't idle! You had to keep "goosing" the throttle! I use to tell people that 0 to 60 was OK, but 60 to 140 was lightning quick. The engine didn't come alive until 4000 RPM, and the red-line was 7 GRAND!!
We "happened upon" an all Chevy car show and entered the Z. It won 2nd place for 1st Gen Camaros. One of the judges said if we had detailed the trunk we would have won first. I told him we hadn't planned on being here. That we had passed by, saw the car show and drove in and entered.

This is the finished product.It has a Ram AirIV 400 and a 4spd.
Here's a 86 IROC I had for a while.
This my ALL TIME favorite beater. A 65 Olds Delta 88 with a 372 (I think), V-8. The air cleaner said,"Ultra High Compression" I figured maybe 9 or 10 to one. Later I found out it was 12.5:1 !!!
