FOR ALL THE CARS I'VE LOVED BEFORE....
Earlier that same year I found a 1974 Javelin AMX for sale. It had a 401 engine and a 4 speed. I had NEVER seen a car like this before, so I bought it. It had some nice options including A/C, (not usually found on a 4 spd car), AM/FM radio, and a "tick-tock-tach"

This is what it looked like in the spring of 1980.
Here's the interior and me sitting in it on my 22nd b-day, ( GOD am I old!!).
I bought a set of "vanity" plates for her. They read,"MY AMX 1"

In 1982, Lyn had an apartment in Chicago and on the weekends we'd cruise north on Sheridan Rd. into a small town called Winnetka. We found a small, hidden beach and boat launch, (on Lake Michigan). We would go there all the time in the AMX, (pics-spring 1982).

Here she is sitting next to a small lake....
In 1985 the AMX was DONE. I had no more changes/modifications to do.

My oldest daughter needed medical treatments, (when she was an infant), that my insurance wouldn't cover so I had to sell the AMX. This is what it looked like when I sold it. I had re-painted it and completely de-chromed it...long before it was popular!!

With out a doubt this is the only car I still wished I owned.
I have a lot more pictures of the AMX that I will scan and add to this page
