This is my dads 1972 Monte Carlo. It has been in my family since the day it rolled off the assembly line. My dad's cousin bought the car and later on he couldnt afford it. So my grandparents offered to buy it from him. They bought the car basically in mint condition. My dad's cousin only had it for about a year and only put 9,000 of the original 40,000 miles on it that are on the car now. After my grandparents bought the car my father took it into his own hands to take care of this AMAZING muscle car. He put plastic on the seats to protect them and treated it like it was his baby from that day on. My grandparents owned the car until my grandmother died, at which point my grandfather gave the car to my dad. Once my dad acquired the car he began to methodically disassemble it. This car took him twelve years and approximatly $50,000 to completly restore back to mint condition. Even to this day the car is not quite finished. He still hasn't installed a stereo system yet but my brother and I solved that this christmas. We just got my dad a set of two 12" Alpine Type R Subwoofers, a subwoofer box, an original looking headunit that has all the perks of a new headunit, and an amp as well.
