Page2 Install of Trans cooler.
Flowmaster added 3/1/03 no Pictures, just a nice mellow sound.

I just picked up this Grand Marquis to use as a commuter. The local Ford Dealer sold it with 39k miles, 4.6 V8 engine, Very CLEAN condition, Alloy spoked Wheels, great paint, A HUGE TRUNK!

Now, for someone who owns a JR supercharged Mazda Miata, www.miata.cardomain.com/id/redy2rn , I was understandably bored with this car at first, its large enough to live in.
My wife nicknamed it "the tank" and my coworkers call it "the BRIDGE"...but then I mashed the gas, what happened next shocked me... :-) whoooboy!

I formerly worked for MTX, and I can tell that this trunk begs for a Thunder2300 driving a couple of isobaric Thunder something 15's or at least some 12's.
Also plan dual exhaust, Transgo shift kit, Trans cooler,(see page 2), Flowmaster Deltaflow (3/1/03), 140mph speedo, and upgraded swaybars in the future.
They actually drag race GM's and CV's in Carlsbad, CA!
I would like to attend with both the supercharged MX5 and the GM.
Also, I wonder how the GM would do on the Solo2 course? nawww :-)

After owning this car for about a month, I have noticed a very NICE trait when driving it. People driving the left lane of the freeway actually move over as I come up behind them at night! My guess is that they must wonder if this is a squad car.... :-)
Its amazing, tonight, 6 vehicles moved over...I'm ECSTATIC! Now, I'm thinkin I need a nice little CB antenna mounted on the rear deck lid. (grin)

OK, new Deal..What a great Car the Merc/Vic is, I couldnt resist another one.
Here is the new one this time a 97LX.
Bought local for el cheap with a few dings, tint, clean, something called "steadfast" ignition (wtf is that?), Single exhaust..bummer! 68k miles
Looking for a throaty exhaust replacement 1 or 2 chamber Flowmaster?

By the way, found a way to convert 8 oz of acetone to 3 gallons of fuel. Dont believe it? check http://www.pureenergysystems.com/news/2005/03/17/6900069_Acetone/

It really works.. my highway fuel mileage went up by average 3 mpg, which makes about 60 free miles per tank (21 gal tank), which is about 3 gallons free gas, just by dumping 8 oz acetone (per 20 gallons of fuel) into the tank. So in summary, a gallon of acetone for $13 bucks at the local home depot, gives me about 48 gallons of free gas.

3/23/07 update, Well, I guess it had to happen, the cheap defective plastic intake that the brilliant minds at Ford Engineering put on the 93-97 models, decided to crack and dump my coolant on the ground. It was real nice of them to offer a free replacement, but only up to 50,000 miles.

I guess they thought if the plastic piece of cr@p made it 50,000 miles, it might last forever, or maybe, their studies showed that most of them crack at 50,001+ miles like mine did.
Anyway, after spending $1,197 dollars with my local mechanic, my Vic is cranking along once again.
Next time I buy a new Ford, this particular invoice will be in my pocket as I negotiate the sale price with some "lucky" salesperson. Fair is Fair right? "you can pay me now or you can pay me later" goes both ways :-)

Hey, it's been a long time since I've signed your guestbook. Heh, actually the Mercury was never mine, but rather my mom's. It has 32k miles now...

Nice cars you have! I'm definitely partial to the Vic, though. Which car does the quarter mile in 15 seconds? Hehe, not either of the Panthers. Figure 16.6 at 84 MPH for the Victoria, something like 17 flat at 80 for the Mercury with 2.73 gears.

Hope to talk to you soon!
