This is my 1981 BJ42 Land Cruiser when i first brought it home. It was rusty. I am the second owner. I have been slowly restoring it over the past three years.
It was completly stock when i bought it. since then i have put 4 inch lift springs in it from CCOT
2 1/2 lift greasable shackles from 4 wheel auto with 35mm OME bushings all around.
A Aqualu aluminum half tub. That has been rhino lined the factory green inside and matching green paint on the outside.
DayStar body mount bushings.
Updated 17 rims off of a 2004 Tundra with 32.8" all seasons for now.(The LTB's are comming soon)
Factory warn 8000lb 24v winch
I have 6 6" chrome 100 watt lights to put on it
I found 2X4's under the floor mat on the drivers side for the floor.
It has a 3B Diesel with 247,000 KM on it.
Winter driving with only 27inch blizzak tires
The tear down....
I found a lot more rust when i cut the old body off.
It spent a lot of time in a shop getting sheet metal work done just so the aluminum tub would fit on.
I also cut the last 18" of frame off and fabed new pieces in with 1/4 inch plate.
Also fabed new rear shackel mounts for the frame
The new Aqualu aluminum half tub.
The installation of the 6 and a half inch lift kit
The before and after
Let me know what you think... Cheers:)
