Just picked up this 4x4. It is a 5.8 Liter automatic with a C6 transmission. Needs steering issues fixed. It also seems slower than it should. Even though it has 142,000 miles, over twenty years that is just a touch over 7,000 miles a year. Not bad. It had front humbs replaced 28,000 miles ago, a new radiator, hoses, etc put in 12,000 miles ago and all of the brakes were done 30,000 miles ago. I think the beast has some life left in her.
So far, i've installed a new thermostat, new distributor cap, new distributor rotor, new plugs, new plug wires, flasher for the turn signals, front turn signal bulbs, oil change, oil filter and I am scheduling a tailgate repair and transmission fluid change sometime in the next three weeks. (Currently April 14th)
