This is my 1984 BMW 318i. I bought it in November for $1500 cash (a steal!!). Since then, most of the work i've done to it has involved getting it up and running well. The car had around 230,000 miles when i bought it, and it didnt take long for the motor to go. I just finished replacing the blown motor with a used, low mileage 1.8L engine from an 1985 318i. More info and pics will be available in the next few days.

The replacement powerplant is a 60,000 mi. junkyard motor i got for $300 (again, a total steal).

The exhaust system is the next thing i'm gonna get fixed. My dad backed bent the exhaust when backing into an embankment at my house. He still blames it on me, though.

Future upgrade plans:
-Get stock alloys chrome plated
-white letter tires
-Mild engine tuning; possibly cold air, switch from mechanical to electronic fuel injection, etc.
-replace driver's side seat (right now the seat is torn, but a piece of black vinyl is serving as an adequate patch for now)
