Just purchased my 1976 Valiant Regal which is a genuine VK 770 which came from the factory with the bigger 360ci/5.9Litre V8. These cars in a V8 are so hard to find, with the majority that come up for sale 6 cylinder examples, I have only seen 2 other VH-VK V8 regals come up for sale this year both only the 318 Fireball models and both beige so this is a unique find indeed. Color is Factory Chestnut metallic with white vinyl roof, I am still deciding what colour to repaint it, am thinking plum crazy (purple), orange, black or even a light green metallic. Possibly I may add some sort of R/T stripes based on what the Chargers came out with.

As you can spot the car is fitted with Weld racing wheels, massive 275/60/R15s at the back and super thin drag racing style fronts. The car has been lowered with 2 inch lowering blocks at the back and the front also dropped giving the car a mean rake.

As I've only just got the car I havn't done a lot but I quickly put on a couple of chrome rocker covers and chrome air cleaner assembly, the motor has an Edelbrock manifold and 4-barrel 750 Holley, air con and power steering have been removed. The car has a dual exhaust system with only 1 muffler on each side. It certainly turns the heads when you give it a rev!!

The interior has the 'coffin console' and I will be adding an R/T charger steering wheel pretty soon. The seats are cloth but I may add some vinyl ones when some good ones come up on ebay or something. The boot in this thing is massive!

Still deciding what I will do to the car, maybe some nice 20inch intro billet wheels at the back and 18s at the front but I'm digging the old skool Welds at the moment, I think I'll get the odd spots of rust under the vinyl roof cut out, and a respray first then some extractors. Any suggestions welcome!
