1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse Base Model

So this is it, a 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse Base Model, it was kind of an impulse buy, but I'm satisfied with it. It's sitting pretty stock at the moment but I have a lot of things planned for this one!

The car is going to be pretty simple all around, the exterior is going to be solid black, as for what type of black I'm going to go with...it's yet to be decided, any suggestions?.....

The first exterior modification I did was adding the fog lights to the front bumper, since I have the base model my Eclipse didn't come with any from the factory.

6-9-08 Today I found some Eclipse five spoke alloy wheels, I originally wanted to powder coat them black or maybe paint them black, but now I'm thinking about keeping the original color? Any suggestions, hit me up!
Have since then sold these wheels and tires ($225) and then I decided to keep The Project! Dammit!
5-14-09 Today I got my hands on some 16 inch Mitsubishi 3000GT seven spoke alloy wheels! $250 with tires on them, now all I need to do is paint them black! I like them already, they are pretty much flush with the sides of the car because of how wide they are. They just clear the suspension knuckle! No rubbing though, I tested it out after I mounted them, looking at the new wheels is making me realize how much I need to lower the car though haha so keep an eye out! I should be painting them within the next couple of days!
5-15-09 Today I painted the wheels and got all four of them on the car, while mounting the passenger side rear wheel I hit a snag though, the tire is rubbing a little bit and while looking at the wheel I realized it wasn't straight so the car needs an alignment now, could have been worse glad it was anything too big, and it isn't rubbing bad at all so that's always a plus! The tint and the wheels make the car look totally different, I'm very happy with the outcome! Here are some pictures, enjoy!

Finally got some pictures of the hood pins, they actually aren't 100% finished, I still need to screw down the scuff plates and do some more adjusting, but I'm not sure if I should cover them with the carbon fiber sticker thing, hit me up with your opinions or suggestions on it! Today (6-16-08) I ordered some lanyards for the pins, they should be in in a few days so we'll see how they work!

5-30-08 I began tinting the little side windows, two layers of 35%!
6-3-08 I removed the entire rear hatch thinkin it would make the window tinting easier (for various reasons) but the crappy ass tint thats supposed to be especially for curved windows didn't want to go with the damn curves!!!!!
I'm sad to announce that I've given up on the tinting =( Looks like I'm going to have to pay a pro to do it now! Damn!
5-14-09/5-15-09 Tonight my dad and I tinted the windows on The Project! I didn't have to pay someone else to do it haha! Front windows are 35% after doing them I kind of wished I would have done them 20% but oh well too late now, I'm not about to mess up something that is already good =) Maybe one day if I get tired of the 35% we'll redo them with 20, who knows? Still need to do the hatch, sometime soon hopefully, it'll be done in 5% though so keep an eye out!

6-26-08 Today I finally got my VHT Nite Shades! But I'm not too sure when I'll get the time to paint!
6-30-08 I finally got around to painting my tail lights! Tell me what you think!
7-21-08 Blacked out the reverse lights today! Let me know what you think!

7-12-09 Today was my only day off this week (put in about 27 hours of overtime this week alone) so I haven't had a whole lot of time to mess with The Project, so today I went and ordered a couple of things from AutoZone and I picked up a can of auto exterior paint (just a spray can) and I decided to hit my driver's side door (it was purple for those of you who don't know haha!). It's still rough and doesn't have a clear coat on it, but it's just a temporary thing because I still need to pop a good size dent out of it, I was just tired of having a different color door haha!
