This is my 2001 Maxima, I just had it completely repainted and added a full Stillen body kit, Speed Scene Chrome grill and valance as well as Halo projector headlights. It only has 129K miles and came stock with a 5 Speed. So I've spent about 3K on the exterior, the equivalent of 6 months of my old payments, and now it's like I have a new car!
So I'm in the process of redoing my vehicles. It's not that I'm rich or trying to burn money, this actually makes allot of sense financially. I don't want to buy new vehicle(s) and add a car payment every month for five years but I'm also tired of driving in the same old same old with all the dings and dents that have accumulated over the years, especially on the 2001 Maxima.
There fore it makes more sense to take the vehicles I've already paid off and invest a little money in them to make them new to me again and so they look nice and run perfectly. So Virginia has the 06 Xterra and I've chosen the older vehicles.
I used to pay $500 monthly for the Max and $750 a month for the F150 (Just for a year, LOL) , now that they are paid off I will make a few more "payments" to get them looking great again.
