So... Here we are... At last at CarDomain, me & my dear fellow A101.

(The guy in the background that's me :)

The Appi is my 1st car. I own him since I.2006 and I am still facineted of it. It has the best price to value ratio. It's the ulimate compromise in all areas:
#1 it's practical - 5 door
#2 it's (relativly) powerfull & fast - 105HP & >10s to 100km/h (in stock, mostly due to low curb weight >930kg)
#3 it's discreet - the sleeper look of a dull family sedan is covering the #2 perfectly
#4 it's rare - you won't see an Applause on evry conrer of Polish city's

The bad side's are:
#1 spare parts are hard to obtain
#2 getting fingers on some dedicated tuning stuff (mechanical or visual) is almost imposible
#3 it's not quite so economical as the manufacturer was promising (~12 liter petrol in not so dense city tafic, ~8 liter during highway driving)
#4 (the worst) very poor rust protection - the corosion is eating him on my eys :(

But beside of all those advantages and weaknesses i love him.
My Mom is caling him "Blone", but his 100% maskulin type. Most of the time he's smooth and nice, but when I want to push a bit harder he's changing in to a hard and (sometimes:) unpredictable living being. It took me almost 1,5 year to lear how to pull the best out of him. But I stil feel like hi's having some restricted power.

Now some spec's:

Drivetrain - FF - engine mounted transversly
Engine - HD-E type, I4, 1600 ccm, 16V, SOHC, EFi, aluminium alloy head, head cover, block, pistons, 77kW/105HP @ ~6000rpm, 134Nm @ 4800rpm (120Nm @ 2000rpm is showing off-road roots of the engine - it was desiged for Feroza F300)
Transmission - 5 Speed Manual
Suspension - Front - McPerson Struts, stabilizer, upper sway bar, Rear - Chapman Struts with 2 trailing arm and raius rod, stabilizer
Breaks - Front - Vented Discs, Single pot calipers, Rear - Solid Discs, Single pot calipers, handbrake fulfilled non hydraulicaly in rear caliper
Body - Official curb weight - 930kg, but my is leighter, due to lack of acustic isolation in doors, on firewall & on the floor, no "extras" like power windows or mirrors, no AC, no central locking, no power steering & small 35Ah batery from Suzuki Alto 850ccm

Soon I will update the site with more pics & some history info about my ride and the Applause model along.

Thanks 4 visiting !!!
