I haven't updated this page in nearly 2 years so I decided nows as a good a time as any. I painted the car a Mercedes Benz Color, Brilliant Silver metalic and replaced the weatherstripping and emblems. I also shaved the antenna and rocker panel emblems. I did that in the winter/spring of 2004 and sold it on ebay in the Janurary 05. I now have a 95 Trans Am.

Here's a few recent pictures.

87VortecZ's 1987 Chevrolet CamaroTher person that bought it on ebay was from Maryland and used a U-haul car trailer to get it back. This is it loaded up about to begin it's journey. It was a sad day to see this thing go. I've put over 2 years of work into it to get it where it was and then I just gave it up essentially.

1987 Z28 - originally had a 305 TPI in it, now has a new built 350 TPI. It had all power options from the factory, power windows, locks, hatch release, and power drivers seat. It also has T-tops, an auto and a 3.73 posi rear.

87VortecZ's 1987 Chevrolet CamaroThe car originally had a 305 from the factory but recently I found out it was replaced with this 350. It has a bent valve. I plan on keeping this block and in the future slowly building up a high horsepower carbed 383 for a bare bones camaro.
87VortecZ's 1987 Chevrolet CamaroNew Years eve(12-31-02) I dropped in my new 350. It started off as a brand new L98 short block from GM. Performance parts include: L31 Vortec heads (with screw in studs, guide plates, and upgraded valve springs), Harland Sharp 1.6:1 Roller Rocker Arms, LT4 Hot Cam (218/228 @ .050", .525/.525), SDPC TPI baseplate for vortec heads, Ford SVO 24# injectors, SLP runners, Ported Plenum, and Hooker Headers and Custom Prom.

87VortecZ's 1987 Chevrolet CamaroIT STARTS!! :) It dosn't idel though :/. I replaced the fuel injectors and it started up right after that. It's insainly loud because it has no cat or muffler on right now, it shook stuff off a shelf in my house hehe. Tomorrow it's getting brought into the shop for them to take a look at everything and weld up the exhaust after they fix the idel problem. I've been trying for the past four days to fix it but i didn't get anywhere with it. I've done all the work up to this point. I wish i didn't have to bring it in but ohwell. I'll have a nice car to drive in a few days.

Other performance parts: MSD 6AL ignition with rev limter, MSD coil, MSD 8.5mm spark plug wires, K&N air filters, Intrax 2" lower springs, KYB shocks and struts, Energery Suspension front suspension bushings.

My next mod is going to be an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and then most likely Spohn subframe connectors, BMR strut tower brace, and TDS wonder bar. Future mods: 52mm throttle body, hooker cat-back system, higher stall torque converter, aluminum driveshaft, stronger rear suspension components.

sweet camaro, your motor with the vortecs and TPI is what I would like to put on my car. I would use Megasquirt(build it yourself EFI computer) to control the engine then you can use a radical cam and it won't mess up the computer. Anyways sweet ride, com check out my 350 HP Cutlass. Jay
