This is my 93 Mercury Cougar XR7. Within the first 6 months of purchasing my car I had to replace the engine. This was because the previous owner had blown a head gasket and got anti-freeze in with the oil. In return this took out the crankshaft bearings which led to replacing the entire engine. I replaced it with the stock V6 3.8L from a 95 cougar. When I did so I also replace the water pump, AC unit, spark plugs and thier wires. The exterior of the car is in pretty rough condition even though it may not look like it in the pictures. The roof and hood need to be repainted because the cleat coat is coming up and bringing the paint up with it and causing the roof to rust. Also the rocker panels need to be replaced because they are pretty much gone from the rust. After about a year or two of running good the car has began to fail again. The headgasket failed on the exhaust side now and I have not got around the fix it. The trans is slap shifting and the exhaust has leaks and the cats are bad.
