My'80 Aspen R/T. So far its still stock with the 318, 904-3spd auto, and 8.25 diff. but not for long. Since Dec 2006, when i bought the car, i have been collecting parts, waiting for the day it all comes together.
After ripping out the interior i installed a painless 18 circut wiring harness, chromoly 8pt rollcage, new power windows and door locks, new carpet and headliner, a hurst v-matic shifter, a set of racing seats and a 16gal fuel cell in the trunk. The dash and stereo is all thats left. Inside the custom bezel will be all autometer gauges, an alpine cd player, a bunch "o" switches, and push button start.
Currently I'm building 408 stroker using a mopar R3 block, commando heads, forged diamond pistons, eagle rotating assembly, hooker super comp headers, and an 850 demon on top. When its done it should be around 550hp on pump gas. I'm also trying to get a tci 727 s.streetfighter and a strange s60 diff with a detroit and 4:10 gears but its hard to pay for all that at the same time, even while working in the canadian oilpatch.
When all is said and done (next summer) i plan to install a set of crager streetstars, 4" cowl hoodscoop, "blackout" all the windows, and paint it charcoal matallic grey.
