We happened upon this '50 in a very nice old ladys garage. We agreed on a price and set about extracting it from its 37 year grave.
This car sat in the garage (with a dirt floor and barn slat walls) since 1971.So there is a little rust.Everything lower than the tops of the wheel wells is rotten.
The woman told us she was 19 when she backed it in to the corner of the garage.(because it was to rusty and she wanted to have it fixed and painted some day.)It was her grandfathers and he bought it new in 1950.So it had some sentimental value to her.
But we were the first people to even hint that we might restore it,rather than scrap it.So she let it go..
Not to sure about plans for it right now,but it's off the dirt floor and has its own place in our shop.
