'04 VY S Supercharged
Before After
The car was a nice find, came with leather interior and of coarse the supercharged V6
First I had the fog lights hooked up just to start off.
Then I started on the Audio system. I collected all the pieces I wanted over 3 months saved me alot of money which I spent on other mods and by having everything in at once it saved alot of time
First i had to mount the amps this is for the four channel Eclipse for the speakers. I used some MDF to bulk up and level the side.
This is the amp mounted
Then ran the speaker wires all through the cabin all at once. This is the back
Did the same mounting for the Subs amp (Alpine PDX 1.600)
Ran all the wires and mounted the sub boxes and this is the boot finished
For the headunit I have a JVC DVD player. there is an endless amount of connections you have to do with this unit because of all the features
- Power/ground wires
- AV cables
- handbrake wire
- Sub RCA
- Speaker RCA's
- Hardwired USB cable
- Microphone
- Antenna
- Remote wires
And others I can't remember
I got some screens for the headrest's but because the headrest are so small, I had to get them done professionally. But they turned out better than i could have ever done myself.
I didn't leave the engine alone though. I got Pacemaker extractors that go into twin 2 1/2in piping --> twin cats--> into
a single 3in (redback system)
Next I put a smaller pulley onto the supercharged giving me more boost. Factory is around 6psi this is supposed to give around 10psi.
Also a high flow air filter was added.
to keep and eye on boost pressure i added these gauges (Boost and Oil pressure
And the engine cover was airbrushed by a very talented friend of mine. It took 5 hours to complete but the result is astounding. the picture does not do it justice.
So that's it so far, future mods are in the works.
