The car is not a S-class benz. It is a 1929 Mercedes Gazelle replica built on a extended 1971 volkwagen beetle chasis, and that wasn't on the list so i went with S-class. I got the car in 2006 when I was 17 and have building it a little at a time ever since then. As far as the vw parts go, it is pretty stock. I rebuilt the 1600 dual port engine with OEM parts. It does have empi headers and distributor, but thats about it. While i had the engine torn down, i torn down the engine in a parts car that i have and found that it had a small aftermarket cam, so i put it in. Its not too big but it does make it lope pretty good, and it sounds pretty mean for a otherwise stock VW motor with exhaust. I painted the car in August of 2007 with $20 a quart Dupli-color brilliant silver and jet black paint.
