This is my 2000 Jeep Wrangler that is my third jeep. The first one I had years ago was a 4 banger and though it was fun, it did suck on power. The second one I had I had to sell and buy my now wife’s engagement ring. Now that I am married I have bought this jeep with intensions on making it the ultimate toy. I got a great deal on it when I bought it. It was stock and some older man had it for ridding on the week ends. It now has about 65,000 miles on it and I paid around 7,000 for it. So, like I said I pretty much stole it. It is not my everyday vehicle and it’s a good thing with gas prices. I am a firefighter that drives 78 miles one way to get to work while my wife attends UGA’s veterinary doctor program. GO DAWGS! I have done a lot with it so far but I am still not even close to being done.
List of upgrades
Suspension:
I have the 4” rough country suspension lift kit on it along with a 3” body. The susp lift kit actually gives you a 5.25 inch lift making the overall lift of the Jeep around 8” I installed both lifts, with the help of my father-in-law, and I am greatly pleased. I had the same lift on my old jeep and highly recommend it! It is low priced, easy to install, and provides excellent handling on and off road.
Wheels and Tires:
I have the MT classic 15x10 wheels and the MT MTZ 36x15.50x15 tires. Both are great and ride remarkable on the road. The tires have an aggressive look to them and ride very smooth.
Engine:
The only thing that I have done to the engine is added a airaid throttle body spacer and K&N air filter. Both have provided noticeable power and throttle response. I recommend these items if you are looking for a little extra power to getting up some hills.
Other upgrades:
Warn 8000 pound winch
Side steps
Neoprene seat covers
Kenwood stereo
1000 W amp
2 10” subs in the back
custom made box for the speakers
fog lights
Future upgrades:
Dana 44 front and rear
456 gears
custom bumpers
bushwhacker fender flares
and about a thousand other things.
