8/1/08 UPDATES: MRZ Performance engine covers, Upgraded Pioneer sound system, and WOT Box
Since the last time I was on, I've done a few more things. The front bumper is all messed up thanks to a huge bump in my uncles driveway, and the side skirts are also messed up thanks to the installer. I'm looking for the stock SS front and rear bumpers to put back on the car and I'm ditching the body kit. I'm tired of scrubbin. Anyways, I've replaced the factory pioneer sound system with an amazing aftermarket pioneer sound system. 5 way Pioneer 6x9's custom mounted in the rear deck and 4 way Pioneer 6.5's in the front, all of which is powered by a 520w pioneer amp, mounted on the rear deck with the 6x9's.
Also, I cleaned up the engine bay by removing the valve cover and the blower and painting them gloss black. I also purchased a spark plug cover, fuse box cover, and a fuel rail cover from MRZ Performance. www.mrzperformance.com

I also just purchased a new product just released for the 2005-2007 cobalt ss/sc is the WOT box. This box will give me the same 2 step launch control and no lift shift found on the new turbo cobalt. Check out this video of the 2 Step Launch Control.

8/11/08: UPDATED PICTURES

9/12/2008 UPDATE:
I just ordered my CX Racing front mount air to water heat exchanger. This will be a much needed component to keep my m62 "heaton" supercharger from heatsoaking so bad. I installed a brand new Hurst Short Throw Shifter last night and it's AMAZING! To me, it seems like it shifts like a stock shifter when under normal driving conditions. However, when I want to shift fast, you can definitely feel the difference. No more missed gears! I ordered a new Auto Meter Ultralite II boost/vacuum gauge, and it's SO MUCH better than the stock gauge. It's much more accurate and it gives instant readings. Aside from the new boost gauge, I have an Aeroforce Interceptor gauge finally! This gauge allows me to see what the computer sees. It has a black face, blue screen, and a silver ring. I will provide pictures whenever I can take some.
9/21/08: 1 year since I purchased the car!

Now:
This is actually in the same exact parking garage. The car has come a long way. Anyways, I have new pictures from the first Gulf Coast Ecotecs(GCE) "pre-meet" last night in Gulfport/Biloxi Mississippi. I didn't get to take much because the bottom fell out of the clouds, but I have a few of my car.

In the first picture, you can see the messed up front bumper. The center piece busted out. If you look closely you can also see the CX Racing heat exchanger I installed Friday night/Saturday morning. The front mount heat exchanger greatly reduces post blower intake air temperatures(IAT2) which in turn makes the stock m62 supercharger more efficient. Of course, colder charge air allows for better performance, and cooler temperatures increases the longitivity of the engine and blower. What's next in cooling mods? Well, I replaced the stock fill neck with a larger coolant tank I bought from Advanced Auto Parts. What does it do? It adds more fluid to the coolant system. For those of you who know a little about these cars, it's like an option B tank but better. The coolant actually flows thru this tank unlike with the option B. The only thing left to get is a single pass intake manifold and Killer Chiller. Killer Chiller is mostly found on the Cobra and Lightning SVT, but a tester is currently undergoing an experiment to try them out on our cars.
I recieved my Aerocatch hood pins w/lock in the mail yesterday before I left, so that's what's on the agenda today. Keep stopping by for more updates.
9/28/08: New pictures and Mods
Last night I had a good friend take some pictures with his awesome camera. He's not professional, but he should be. First, the mods. I installed the locking Aerocatch hood pins yesterday and a better picture of the CX Racing Heat Exchanger. Here's a picture:

These things are pure SEX! I would recommend anyone with a carbon fiber hood invest in these. They're fully adjustable so no more uneven, warped carbon fiber hood! Please excuse the ugly front bumper. It's getting replaced very VERY soon. The red ss/sc beside mine is my friend Anthony's. His front bumper is what my front bumper should look like, except mine -had- yellow grilles.
Finally, here are the rest of the pictures taken last night.

More updates to come!
10/16/08 UPDATE:
I no longer need new bumpers. My car got towed the other day and the bumpers got messed up really bad, so insurance is covering the cost of new bumpers and having them painted and installed. Next time you see the Chobalt, it'll be good as new!
