Another 1GOODDOG 1952 Pontiac Chieftain post...
1952 Pontiac Chieftain:
The engine is a 268.4 C.I. 122HP 227 Ft.Lb/Tq Straight Eight. A very cool flathead engine called Silver-Streak.
Last March I noticed an old car on a piece of property near my house, it was a 1952 Pontiac Chieftain. I have always wanted to have a 52 Chevy; I decided this was close enough. The property was for sale so I called the realtor to ask if the seller would be willing to sell the car. They said if I would have it moved I could have it.
Some of the first pictures I took before calling owner. There was moss growing on the side, black berry bushes growing in the engine compartment and grass growing on fender.
I had a flat bead tow truck pick up and deliver the 52 to my place where I could clean the growth off and get wheels and tires on it.
I was able to only get one wheel off the others need more soaking in penetrating oil.
The engine compartment appears to have everything there, hopefully just needs ...
