I live in Europe in the Netherlands and drive a standard Toyota Celica. I intend to paint the boring grey dashboard matt black. I know how to prep. it but I am not sure what type of primer and top-coat paint I should use. If someone could suggest what paint is safe to use, I would be grateful (cellulose, acrylic, what?). Also, what is the best dash kit to use for creating a brushed aluminum effect on the dash trim? (What make/supplier?).
I saw a German Celica with the top half painted white. It looked very nice so I hope to paint the hood and area above the waist-line silver or white.
What is the easiest way to gain extra and reliable power? Fit a supercharger; get the engine chipped or both? I am a qualified engineer and can do the work but I would appreciate advice from any Toyota enthusiasts.
