So I lucked out like crazy an collected a big FMIC off a bum who was walking down the street with it under his arm. He said had taken it out of someones trashcan and was goin to sell it as scrap. He said he could get 10 bucks for it, so I offered him 7. SOLD! This is EXACTLY how it went down. Its in ok shape, its been mounted and run into a curb or somthing.. So there is a nice dent in the top. Luckily the genius who had it before me mounted it upside down, so the when I mount it properly it will look brand new. Got it pressure tested at a radiator shop. help 30psi for 5 minutes... way more than what I need it to do
There is a huuuge Volvo salvage yard a few minutes from my house, on the way home from work i stopped in and asked the guy about intercooler tubing and couplers. He directed me to a shipping crate full of alum tubing, rubber flexy and silicone connectors. waked out of there with a good 10 feet of random bends and couplers for 20 bucks!
